Thanks again for all of the help and comments! But in my case I did the clutch kit with new throw out bearing and later the hard clutch turned out to be the slave cylinder. That causes the extra fluid (FROM DEPRESSING THE CLUTCH ) to stay in the line and exert pressure on the throwout bearing. The fluid does not have anywhere to go!


Well, the clutch was just as hard with the plates removed. I checked the thrust bearing that pushes against the pressure plate, it was fine, checked the clutch lifter ro it was slightly heat discolore but fine, so then I went over to the ignition side to look at the clutch lifter arm. It is pushing hard enough that I broke out the bottom of the plastic master cylinder housing. The pressure plate is what holds the clutch to the flywheel in order to transfer power to the transmission.


This is not adjustable and if the tension is too low, the clutch will slip.
