The combination of these things means the Street Demon has great throttle response, and the small primaries also means fuel economy is maximized. There are also ball burnished aluminum and fully polished versions in both sizes. Thanks to the HOLLEY tech that HIGHLY recommended I try this carb. They feature small primary throttle bores combined with proven triple-stack boosters offering a straightforward design while delivering stable idle, amazingly crisp throttle response, and smooth performance. The point I was making isnthatbthe street demon is plastic more or less. For the price of the demon repair I can get a good old holley classic tough as nails carb. The line of Demon carburetors were designed for high engine performance on the street and on the track.

I went thru all the typical BS with trying to tune the stumble that carb is known to have.

The all new design from Demon had us curious, as did the patented and technical features on the Street Demon. It’s not your typical carburetor, and we could tell that just by the looks of it. Demon Carburetion 6Carburetor - Street Demon. I once had the speed demon and it was a good carb but be warned the demon carbs along with the quick fuel carbs have a very rich fuel curve on them in the idle circuit and are calibrated more for performance then street manners and fuel mileage so you will have to retune it for both worlds. The street demon looked awesome right out of the box.

Does anybody have any experience with the new Street Demon carb. Holley has bought the business and come out with this new one that looks pretty neat. Kinda a cross between a Thermoquad and a Quadrajet and Edelbrock Performer.

Available in all aluminum tumble-burnishe tumble-burnished with a polymer fuel bowl, and all aluminum hand polished designs, the 6Street Demon starts at just $349. Basically felt the same about 6Speed Demon with the black poly bowl. A user friendly carb over all.

Throttle response was wicked quick.

The STREET Demon is meant for STREET cars. It takes more than bowl vents to make an off-road carb. You might try looking into a carb that is meant for TRUCKS. No experience with the carbs themselves.

The Goggle valve is linked to the primary mechanism and opens as quickly as you depress the throttle pedal. Next up was bolting it down, connecting the throttle cable and return spring and matching the fuel line to the carb – note: the Street Demon carb has a available hardware kit that made it take less than another 5-minutes to select, match and install the feed line to the now unused Holley duel-feed line. Race Demon with 4-corner idle and full mechanical linkage as an example here. I see street guys mostly advance it until the RPM. Later this week a Summit 6cfm carb will be run on a 2with G heads and ECZ-B intake.

Ive been looking at the Street Demon carbs and they were only available in a 6CFM model but when I looked today it seems they have made a 7CFM version now. My question is will a 7be too large for my application. Just as it should be with a new carb.

My plan was to use a Quick Fuel Q-series 8carb , but just ran into the new Demon carbs (now part of Holley as I have read). A new 7Demon can be had for $350. A pro rebuild runs about $250. I had a Holley on my first back in 6 great for street racing, but lots of tuning and maintenance issues. If your goal is all out performance, I might skip both the Thermoquad and the Demon and go with a traditional square bore design where there is more aftermarket support.

The Demon carb sure sounds nice. If this is your first visit,. I also keep running across the apparently new-and-much-improved 6Street Demon , which. I have a 6cfm Crate ( Street) Demon carb , double pumper with electric choke.

I have a Barry Grant carburetor, Street Demon , 650cfm, vacuum secondaries.

The problem is that the secondaries constantly dump fuel through the Boosters. I have rebuilt the carb completely with the Barry Grant kit, and the problem still exists. How-ever, many people have true street builds and the fact of the matter is that there are no vacuum-secondary Dominator carbs with electric choke, which you need for a street engine.

The holley is a better race carb , alot more parts out there to custom tune the carb with, and it can handle low vac race engines better than the edelbrock, plus the option of dual accel. For a stock to mild mostly street use app. I would recommed the edelbrock carb.

These Street Demon carburetors redefine street carburetors with clean looks and ease of use. They offer enthusiasts a straightforward design to deliver stable idle, amazingly crisp throttle response, and smooth performance. With optimized calibration and a dual mounting pattern, they are ready to run right out of the box.

Brand new carb : Holley vs Demon vs Edelbrock vs Motorcraft. It seems the 351C-2V motor has enough torque at low RPM for street cruising which is a good thing. In our case, the 6Street HP used straioht boosters rather than the downleg style used in all the other carbs.
