The system works on the principle of pressurizing the master cylinder so that old brake fluid is forced out of the lines when the bleed screws are opened. This kit is designed for Dodge Ram trucks with the round tab twist cap reservoir cap. Motive power bleeder is the one per a previous post.


I watched a couple videos on how to do this process and it seems straight forward. I forgot to mention my $power bleeder before I bought the Motive. I bought a cap and drilled a hole in it and put in a wheel valve stem.


Attached my air chuck with the regulator set to psi and bled away on the brakes and clutch. The only minor problem is install the bleeder cap to the master cylinder.

With the oil extractor, I can start bleeding the brake as soon as I remove the wheel, it took less than seconds to hook up the bleed tube to the oil extractor. As others have mentione just follow the instructions provided with the bleeder and ensure you have a good seal BEFORE filling the bleeder with brake fluid. Tighten pump cap onto empty Power Bleeder and pressurize to recommended operating pressure as per repair manual psi. Check for leaks at fluid reservoir and at Power Bleeder fluid hose connections. Simply attach the hose from the catch bottle to the bleeder screw, loosen bleeder and watch the fluid flow out of the caliper nice and cleanly through the hose into the catch bottle. Instead of the Motive bleeder , I used the setup GSGALLANT provided in his posts.


Good thing, too, as the dial on the compressor only goes down to psi, even though the regulator will go to zero. The pump simply pressurizes the brakes of your Corvette to bleed the fluid. Hi All, Just had a fun experience changing the brake fluid in my 993.


It appears the VW bleeder has its hose and cap permanently attache and the screw on GM adaptor I am contemplating will not fit this bleeder. When I called them, I was told the GM attachment would work with the VW bleeder. Simply connect the custom manufactured adapter to the hydraulic fluid reservoiron your vehicle,add hydraulic flui and pressurized air from the hand pump.


The reason I bought the motive kit was because I wanted to flush my system and replace it with high performance brake fluid. The Motive PB web site is poor at conveying this. I plan on hitting the track soon with my car.
