Hi, I just finished painting a dining room table with chalky paint (my first attempt using it) I have not waxed it yet, and am wondering if I have made a mistake painting the table with chalk paint , as the finish seems like it will not clean up well. With normal chalk paint , the finish is really dry and kind of rough–which is why you need to go over it with wax. With this spray paint , I was pleasantly surprised to see that the finish was nice and smooth and there was no need for wax. It is definitely matte, but still really smooth and soft to the touch.
