Oil pressure light

It could be something as simple as being low on oil , or it could be an indication of serious engine problems. The trouble is, you don’t know whether the problem is serious or no big deal, so your best course of action is to pull over immediately and turn off your engine. The dreaded oil pressure light definitely the light that i do not want to see.


This can cause the most damage and the fastest way to kill it engine. The low oil level warning light is similar to the low oil pressure warning light. With oil pressure there should always be reason for a little bit of caution. If it has high miles i do suggest a new oil pump and use a premium oil. If it does indeed have high miles run a higher mileage oil.


Add oil if require but if the oil level is within the operating range and the oil pressure is still low, have the vehicle serviced. Always follow the maintenance schedule for changing engine oil. Then when I started I found that the sensor had a leak after changing the sensor and roping of the oil (extra then the normal) the oil pressure light went off.


Then it keeps coming on and off when in idle when reving and it’s getting annoying as I don’t know what the problem is.
